A Fluffy Work in Progress!

I'm a busy bear maker hiding inside during this chilly weather.
We are actually getting some "almost real" snow - it's actually covered the grass blades all the way LOL!

Here are a couple of sneak pictures of my latest
"Work in Progress"

Another Fur Memory Bear

I finished another little fur sweetie from Jeanna's Mother's muskrat fur coat in memory of her.
Now I have 3 medium fluffy bears in the works!

First New Bears of 2014 - a New Design!

Please meet Grape Drop and Razzy Drop
the first 2 new bears of 2014 and also of my Gumdrop Kids!

Each of the Gumdrop Kids will be One of a Kind.  There will only be 6 bears in the collection.  The Gumdrop Kids are 6 1/2" tall, 5" sitting and are fully jointed. They will be created out of "gumdrop colored" mohair with white mohair accents and white footpads. Each will wear a gumdrop pendant round his or her neck.

These first two are available right now on the available page:  http://teddiesbylauralynn.blogspot.com/p/bears-for-adoption.html

I hope you enjoy meeting these Gumdrop Kids!

Last Bears of 2013 - Fur Memory Bears

I thought I'd share a photo of the last 2 bears that were born in 2013.
These two little ones are 8" tall and were created from a dear friend's mother's
muskrat fur coat in memory of her mother.

I took a small "mohair break" and am almost done with the first 2 bears
of 2014 - a new design and collection made from mohair.
Those will be available later today!
After that I'll be getting back to that muskrat coat
to bring that fur coat back to life for my
dear friend's family in their mother's memory....

Baby it's COLD Outside!

One of the reasons I moved away from Chicago to Kentucky was to get away from the severe cold.  But my gosh it's cold here today!  Of course I shouldn't complain....The high temp in Chicago on Monday is supposed to be -8.  That's the HIGH!  And our "snowfall", well, I think we maybe got a half an inch...

But I took Strudel out to the window for a look, and he told me it sure looked like a good day to stay home ALL day and just work on bears.

My Mom was just moved from the hospital close to my home to a rehab place an hour away, so I won't be going to see her every day like I have for the last 2 months.  This sure does look like a good day to stay at home... my first Stay at Home day in 2 months.
