Yesterday was a special treat - my friend Tami Eveslage (and incredible bear artist!) and I got together at her house for socialization and bear making!
Tami and I have known each other online for many years. We'd see each other at the show in Schaumburg, IL. She did more shows that the Schaumburg one, but it was often the only show I did as I lived nearby. But with me living in Chicago and her in Cincinnati, OH, it was a little too far to go for an afternoon! Now that I'm living in Lexington, KY though - it's a piece of cake!
I had such a wonderful time! It's always so much fun to visit other teddy bear artists and see their studios - and talk and talk and talk!!!! I loved looking at her bear collecting... and her mohair! ;) As a hobby Tami also makes dolls which are incredible!
I'm looking forward to doing this again!

Hi Laura Lynn, I'm not a bear artist but I am a collector and I met Tami at one of the shows some years ago. She is such a nice person! I had her make me a bear named big cinder (I think that was his name) she put claws on him...I adore that bear and to this day he is a favorite. I'm so glad you were able to visit her, you both must have had such a nice time. :o) Have a super weekend! Jennifer
